The fruit from this award-winning Petite Sirah comes from the Ghidossi vineyard in Oakley, Contra Costa that produces only one to two tons of grapes per acre resulting in a wine with huge structure of deep rich colors and concentrated flavors. The aroma is a ripe package of overripe berries, chocolate and spice leading into an explosive mouthful of boysenberry and black pepper, with a slight lingering finish. This wine has a complexity that you will savor. The full mouth-feel and rich tannins of this wine beg to be paired with BBQ Pork Lion.
